About Electroforming

What is Electroforming?

Our jewelry is handmade from start to finish. It is created through a process called electroforming. In electroforming, an acid based solution and electric current are used to deposit copper on a non-conductive object. Layers of copper build up on the piece over 12-24 hours. Electroforming is an unpredictable process and results in one of a kind and unique pieces. Please keep in mind, since this is a natural process, there may be small nicks, pits and bubbles in the copper.

Additionally, please be aware that over time, the color of the copper will naturally begin to darken. Your copper jewelry may be cleaned using lemon juice or a vinegar and salt solution.
